Mountain View College (Feed The Lions) Food Pantry Project
At Mountain View College, we aren’t just a group of educators teaching students. We are a family. We have been serving students in the Southwest Dallas area for almost five decades, and we are honored to have planted seeds of knowledge that helped create the strong roots of our Mountain View College family tree. Equally important to us is the well-being of our 9,500+ students. In a recent survey of more than 4,000 students at 10 community colleges across the country published in The Atlantic, more than half of the students indicated they struggle with food insecurity. We have created the Mountain View College Feed The Lions Food Pantry to serve our students who are food insecure. If our students are hungry, they can’t effectively learn, and if they can’t learn, they can’t pass their exams. We are honored GiftCards4Change is accepting donations to benefit our Feed TheLions Food Pantry. Your donation will help us continue our mission of empowering people and transforming communities by ensuring our students don’t go hungry. Thank you for helping us feed our MVC Lions!
How to donate
Donate a gift card online
GiftCards4Change will be accepting donations on behalf of the MVC food pantry initiative. All gift card donations will be accepted and converted to their equivalent cash value. For your gift card donation you will receive a tax deductible receipt within 24 hours.
On Campus
Food donations may be dropped off at the MVC food pantry (S1016) from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. Monday-Thursday, or anytime to Marketing and Public Relations (E100) or the circulation desk at the Library. Click here for a list of the items most needed
