Is my donation to GiftCards4Change tax deductible?  
Yes, you’re gift card or PayPal donation is 100% tax deductible. GiftCards4 Change, Inc. is a National 501(c) (3) so you can rest assured that 100% of the amount remaining on your card is immediately tax deductible, and you will receive your receipt via email within 48 hours of making your donation.  GiftCards4Change, Inc. collects remaining small dollar gift cards to help people affected by poverty, human trafficking, hunger, homelessness, and disability.  We are a Texas based nonprofit corporation that has tax-deductible status as a charitable organization described in section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service. After making a donation should I destroy the physical gift card?
Please do not destroy your gift card until you have received your tax deductible receipt from GiftCards4Change. In some cases we have had cards where the numbers on the card were not fully scratched off, or the picture upload was blurry, or failed.  If we run into an issue with your card you will receive an email from us asking for additional information so that we may finalize your transaction. Thank you for understanding that technology is never 100% and we do everything in our ability to rectify issues within 48 hours. 

How long will it take to receive my charitable contribution receipt?
You should receive your tax deductible donation receipt within 48 hours of submitting your card or PayPal donation.  In the event that you have not received your receipt please check that your email address is entered correctly in your user account information, and make sure to check your spam folder.  If you still can’t find your receipt, please email us at receipts@GiftCards4Change.org. 

What should I do if I do not see my gift card merchant listed on the site or app?
GiftCards4Change.org makes every effort to stay on top of having the most comprehensive list of gift card merchants.  If for some reason you do not see your card merchant listed please choose (Other Card Type) from the drop down list and add the Merchant’s name in the description.  We monitor the (Other Card Type) category and will add your merchant within 3 to 5 business days.  

How much of my donation will go directly to a charitable cause?
Gift Cards4Change, Inc. is a National Nonprofit (501(c) (3), headquartered in Dallas, TX.  Our mission is to collects remaining small dollar gift cards to help improve the lives of people effected by poverty, human trafficking, hunger, homelessness, & disability.  Your generous donations are 100% tax deductible for the full remaining value on the gift card. 

In some instances Gift Cards 4 Change may need to pay an exchange or conversion fee in order to liquidate gift cards, or to combine values, these fees are often dictated by a daily market exchange rate, state legislation / regulations, or by the merchants themselves that offer buyback programs.  In order to adequately administer and distribute funds, a great deal of work goes into validating, liquidating, aggregating, exchanging, and distributing monies donated.  Because these processes require volunteers and a staff supervisors we may need to deduct up to 5% of proceeds donated for administrative fees and up to an additional 3% for credit card processing fees.  GiftCards4Change, Inc. makes every effort to never exceed expenses of more than 10% of the donated proceeds, which includes transaction fees, card validation fees, administrative expenses, and management supervisory fees.

Can I send my gift cards to GiftCards4Change via US Mail?
If you wish to mail your gift cards to Gift Cards 4 Change, Inc. a single SHIPPING AND HANDLING fee of - $5.00 per order may be applied from the total value of the proceeds sent to us.  Please send your cards to the address listed below.

Privacy Policy:   We have created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. GiftCards 4 Change, Inc. assures you that the identity of all who contact us through this website is kept confidential: we do not rent, sell, or exchange our mailing lists; nor reveal names of purchasers/recipients. Funds are allocated to the charities "anonymously" without passing on any private information or identities.
